Billboard and digital screen artwork: a creative-spec checklist
The Averta team · October 11, 2026 · 1 min read
Artwork that arrives in the wrong size or too late costs you days of a booked campaign. Every listing on Averta states its creative requirements; this checklist explains what each one means.
Sizes vary by owner
There is no single Cyprus billboard size. Common international formats you will see include the 48-sheet (about 6.1 × 3.05 m) and the 96-sheet (about 12.2 × 3.05 m), and digital screens are often 1920 × 1080 pixels in landscape or portrait. Always design to the exact dimensions on the listing, not to a generic template.
The checklist
- Dimensions: width × height in metres (printed faces) or pixels (digital screens). Keep the same aspect ratio; don't stretch.
- File formats: what the owner accepts (for example JPG, PNG, PDF for print; MP4 or MOV for video screens).
- Maximum file size: large print files may need to go through a file-transfer link.
- Duration: for digital screens, the slot length (often 10 or 15 seconds) and the loop length, which tells you how often your ad shows.
- Safe area: keep text and logos inside it; edges can be cropped by frames or bezels.
- Copy limits: some placements limit headline and body length.
- Lead time: the artwork deadline before the start date. Printing and installing a static face takes longer than uploading to a screen.
- Content policy: restricted categories (for example alcohol or gambling) may need review before they run.
How Averta helps
Uploads in a booking's production board are measured automatically (dimensions, duration, file size) and checked against the listing's specs, so problems show up before the deadline rather than on the morning of go-live.
